MALA is a Sanskrit word for garland and and is used in meditation practice. There are 108 beads in a mala. Each bead representing the number of times a chant or mantra is repeated. The tassels threads on a mala represent the interconnections between each other & the divine. Mala Beads serve as an anchor to stay focused and grounded during meditation practices.
